NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ENTER INTO A RELEVANT DISPOSAL

THE DINNEYWICKS INN, THE CHIPPING, KINGSWOOD, WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE GL12 8RT

ASSET OF COMMUNITY VALUE REFERENCE 2017/0009/ASSETC

On 31st January 2018 Stroud District Council received a notice under section 95(2) of the Localism Act 2011 (the Act) from the owner of the above land, which is listed as an Asset of Community Value.  The notice confirms the intention of the owner to enter into a relevant disposal (as defined in section 96 of the Act) of the above land.

In accordance with section 95 of the Act:

  • The interim moratorium period will end on 14th March 2018;
  • The full moratorium period will end on 31st July 2018; and
  • The protected period will end on 31st July 2019.

The full moratorium period will be triggered upon receipt from a community interest group (as defined in regulation 12 of the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012/2421) of a written request to be treated as a potential bidder in relation to the land.  Any such written request must be made not later than 14th March 2018 and should be sent to:
